yes. i meant that the spindle end was 4 mm short of the crank bolt flat, sorry if i explained it bad.
and thanks, i didn't know it's the way ought to be. thought that it had to perfectly match with no clearance between the bolt.

and it's just made me think, and now i understand. if there's no space, it's not gonna be easy to have them mounted "tight", as tightening the bolt should 'pull' the spindle closer to the end. and that's why most of the used arms come with the harsh pit on the bolt side.

thanks a lot. no more worries in my ignorant bonehead.

and damn, i shouldn't have sold the Ofmega crankset... thought they were obsolete—which some sources say so. the one i had was totally fine ISO, then.
