CF is supposed to be 'the lightest' but it is fragile in as much as it doesn't perform well under excessive compression, a problem with home mechs and spanners and a cf post needs the correct torque to stop it slipping down so tension on the clamp is torque wrench critical. And when cf fails it does so in a catastrophic manner.
I doubt LA and the guys think the minor weight savings are worth the risk.
