Somewhat off topic, but I find chocolate milk unbeatable for a mid ride energy boost. I feel it is absorbed much quicker than juice drinks and doesn't leave that horrible sicky citrus taste after a hard core grind up some unspeakable incline.

As said before, peanut butter is gooood.
