beautiful, wonderful biking. the climb out of downtown ithaca can be gradual or steep, your choice depending on the route. The roads have nice shoulders, in general there's not too much traffic. Weather's really nice in June through August, occasional rain but overall great. The hills tend to be rolling, though if you like big climbs you can find them.

In terms of place to stay, all kinds of places here ranging from bed and breakfasts to campgrounds, depends on what you like, how much you want to spend.
