follow up to the earlier question:

so I put brakes on the 722 and the pads are as low as they can go and just baaaarely get to the braking surface. once the pad starts to wear down I'm worried about tire rub and will have to keep an eye on it.

Is this something from having a frame in 58cm or a 722 thing in general? the brakes are r710s, but I'm wondering if long reach may be necessary? Only the rear was like this, the front was fine.
