no, it is not. My group ride is at 6am on weekdays, I can get there in 10 minutes by car, or about 45 minutes to an hour through extremely unbike-friendly roads by bike. I then have to be out the door to get my day started by 9 am. Going by car means I don't have to leave my house at 5AM, possibly get killed, and can get a good two hours in of quality riding instead of 1 hour in of good riding and 2 hours of terrible commuting. Not everyone lives in a wide open rural areas.
