If you just wrap the elastic around the helmet, it probably won't hold. But if you put stickyback velcro loopies on the light and velcro hookies on the helmet with some more hookies on the back of the helmet, it might stay put. Just make sure you put the loopies on the light. Hookies are a little uncomfortable if you want to wear it without the helmet.
