Rixen & Kaul Freepack (wordy post)

While I await delivery of my NWT , I've been pondering commuting options. Part of this bike's job will be multimodal commuting. I previously had a Brompton which was great for this, but not so good for all of the other aspects of riding I enjoy. The aspect I miss most about the Brompton is the front carrier. It is such a convenient, well-designed setup.

A such, I am trying to come up with a similar alternative for my NWT. I have panniers which would work great, but I am leaning toward not having a rack to minimize folded size. Thus, I have been looking at the R&K Freepack City (http://www.klickfix.de/index.php?mod=12&lang=en) to use for commuting duty. I wanted to probe the collective experience of the Foldosphere and see if any one has used one.

Thanks
