Long time ago I was rushing uptown through Chelsea when a couple of rednecks (literally) in an old bakery truck drew up along side me and began hurling invective. Dunno why they were so pissed at me, I hadn't cut them off or anything and was riding as fast as traffic, but in those days I weighed about 130 and at 6' tall, would often find myself the object of contempt among a certain class of gentlemen. Anyway these guys next began swerving back and forth across the avenue's four lanes in an attempt to either to run me off the road or commit vehicular homicide. But their intentions were soon thwarted when they plowed into a lamp post ahead of me, jack knifing their truck and squashing flat its cab. Needless to say I did not stop to call 911.
