I'm looking to move my roadie (LOOK 555) on and get a Cervelo again. I've actually sold the LOOK and the guy is collecting it tomorrow. However, I've got cold feet as I'm just wondering if I'd be better switching my gear across to a new frame - or just buying a complete bike. Here are my (self-imposed) options:
1) Sell LOOK complete & buy either Cervelo S2 or S5 complete (SRAM Rival + FSA + Fulcrum 5 spec)
2) Sell LOOK frame only and move gruppo (SRAM Red & Force mix) & wheels (DuraAce) etc across to a Cervelo frame: new or used.
If I go for #2, there is an older Cervelo S1 frame on BikeExchange (
http://www.bikeexchange.com.au/bike_.../qld/102023939 ) which is also very tempting. I've always liked the Cervelo alloy frame and this would save me a packet of $$ (even if I only get a modest amount for the LOOK frame) It is still an nice aero design with the reversible seatpost for a TT position if wanted.
At the moment, I'm on track to option #1 as I've sold the LOOK complete. What would you do? Stick with that? Or cancel the sale and buy either a new or used Cervelo frame only? The used S1 is very tempting. But so is a new S5.
Thoughts? Advice? Abuse?
