After reading the specs on the Cervelo web site ... forget about it. The only Rival parts are the derailleurs, chain, cluster, and shifters. Everything else is FSA. To me, it isn't worth half of $1800.
Now, if you can get the frameset for $1000, and build it up with whatever you want, say Ultegra, then you can have a pretty hot bike for 2 bills.
Are you high? You're saying you would only pay 900$ for a fully built Cervelo? I purchased my 2011 S2 for 3500$ (after tax) with full Rival. Even with a couple FSA pieces $1800 is a STUPIDLY good deal. Also, when you say "everything else is FSA" it's only cranks+brake calipers. The cockpit was always FSA for the Rival build.
If you got a $1000 frameset, and used say, Ultegra, you would spend WAY more than $2k total for a full bike.
