Funny how all that works out...when I lived in Michigan I rarely wore a jacket if the temps were above 55. Now I live in South Florida and think that the perfect temp for a long ride is right around 80 degrees. If it's below 60 and breezy I put on my tights, if it's below 50 I add a long sleeve tee shirt under my jacket. If it's around 40 I reconsider and drive my truck most times. Today at noon it's already nearly 80 degrees and humid, so the ride home will be just shorts and a short sleeved jersey at 5pm. Perfect weather to ride at 80 degrees...but it's all what you are used to.
