You really need a variety of these trainer workouts to make them useful (hard, easier, long, shorter, etc.). That is one advantage of Spinervals is that they have a big variety including long aero base building workouts, recovery day workouts, etc. etc.. I use CTS DVD's for most of my hard days but you can't just hammer every day and expect to see adaptation. It also gets pretty boring to do the same thing too often.
You are right about not hammering all the time. I have both Spinervals and Sufferfest videos. I did Sufferfest over the weekend but needed something less hardcore yesterday so I did an easier Spinervals workout. Nothing against Spinervals but I was bored out of my mind in comparison to Sufferfest.
