So...I'm 18. I'm sick of triathlons. I've been doing them for about 4 years. I primarily do sprints and the occasional olympic, did a half iron-man once, could barely handle the swim. My swim times are always mediocre. Takes me ~2mins/100 yards. My running is always decent, and consistent, at about a 7:00min/mile pace. My cycling. My usual 20K takes me ~26mins. My 40k takes me ~55mins. The only time I did the 90k I timed at just over 2hours. I ride a heavy ass Raleigh, and I feel like my cycling is strong cause I can usually keep up with the pack (albeit at the back of of the pack) of riders with 15 lb TT machines. I'm a pretty big guy, and kinda feel out of place. I love sprints, and I love hills. I really want to ditch the running shoes and the wet suit and stick to cycling. I love the balls to the wall idea of track racing, but I also like the appeal of endurance type road races.
Any tips to get started?
