Sirrus Rider, In the '90s I converted one of my Cannondale roadies to a triple. The main pieces needed are a triple compatible FD, a long cage RD, the crankset and a matching BB. Your DT shifters will be fine. A good all around 8S configuration for our area was a 52-42-30 and a 13-27 cassette.
