found my dads old peracini frame in the attic the other day and have decided to build it up, only problem is it's built to fit a 1" steerer tube. I have the old threaded one but really don't want to put an old style threaded headset or those those cone-clamp-stem thingys on there. I thought about just trying to clamp a new style stem over the threaded portion of the steerer tube but there's just not enough room to do it, what with the headset and all. Anyone know a way around this? Or somewhere that sells 1"threadless forks. UK preferably. cheers.
