Yesterday was also my 7 yr old's 1st day on the bike in almost 2 wks. She completely forgot about her handbrakes (new to her in the last month or so) and shot into an intersection at a 4-way stop (from the sidewalk) and T-boned a car that was waiting at the stop sign. No harm, no foul, whew. We did braking practice in the bus loop when I picked her up after school.
WOW! I'm glad she's OK! I watched my 7 year old son roll, confused, through a four way stop several years ago. He didn't hit anything (fortunately) but it did not lessen the severity of my coronary. Again, I'm glad she's ok!
