Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

I have a 2006 Campy Chorus 10-speed group on one bike (Record w/o the snob appeal) with almost 19,000 miles and am very happy with it. No problems in all of that time. As to a used group, be sure the Ergo brifters still work well. They can be rebuilt and I believe parts are still available but it isn't particularly cheap to have the work done.

Total weight difference? Probably insignificant. SRAM's Force isn't their lightest or most sophisticated group and Record was Campy's.
