I know that the average speed measurement is pretty accurate, since that can be calculated just knowing how far you went and how long it took, but how accurate is the max speed measurement? I've just started using Strava and it gave me a max speed reading of 36.5 MPH on flat ground on my commute, which just seems too fast to me. Particularly because at 42/17 that is a cadence of something like 190 RPM. But I've never used a computer or speedometer before, so I guess that could be right.
