It's a lot of work to strip the parts down. You'll find the derailleurs are riveted into sub assemblies. They're blind rivets so they don't come apart. IMO, sell the group and the new 2012 black Veloce or Centaur group from Wiggle. They're slightly over $400 for a Veloce. Good luck.
But skip the shifters and get a set of 2010 Centaur Carbon Ultrashift levers which share the same multi-cog behavior as the previous 20 years of Campagnolo ergo levers.
