Actually the guy is a really good / safe rider. I wasn't there for the first crash but it was just one of those things. His second crash I was there. I hate to say it but all of us (four of us) were going a little too fast down a windy single lane road, like pretty much all of us do from time to time. A truck came around a blind curve going a bit too fast but not flying. The truck went into the ditch to give us as much room as possible. Three of us were able to stop, he wasn't. His options were go over the hill which was straight up and down, hit the truck, or lay the bike down. He made the right choice.

The guy driving the truck was very nice and stopped to check on the other rider. We all apologized to him since we were just as much in the wrong as he was. The funny part is that the guy that crashed is a doctor, pretty much the worst one that could have crashed had anyone needed help.
