Thank you Bob. It sounds like the only question remaining for Silvercreek is about the reach of his Nuovo Record calipers, which may or may not reach. Hard to know in advance Silvercreek. I was thinking that maybe before you build up those nice hubs, you take your frame down to a local bike shop and see if they happen to have an old 27 inch rim/wheel laying around.....and try it for fit. It might not answer the question unless the wheel has a tire mounted, but it might help. Given the photographic evidence above, I'd imagine this will work out OK.
