did you have a 500 before?

the extra "features" dont really make it worth IMO.
plus battery life is terrible, (i have back light set to OFF) and its good for about 12hrs (i like long rides)
my 500 did 20hrs once

touch screen is iffy with gloves
fragile front screen (have cracking starting in mine)

the maps are cool, and i've used it for turn by turn directions...
