Had occasion to visit A-1 Bicycles in St Louis today. Walked in the door, Was greeted by Parker and Flip (shop dogs), Raymond says, "Hi" as he goes to help a customer. Richard comes out of the back room and says, "You're going to want to see this."

This turned out to be the beautiful Frejus Pista that came out of a relative's basement where it had languished under a tarp for 40+ years. The spokes are toast, but the frame is just gorgeous. The decals are near perfect. Of course the stem and bar are not original, but they too are old. Serial is 106178. All I had was my cell phone, so the photos leave a bit to be desired. The frame color does not show well in them. Not sure how to describe it...maybe a very light tan. The chrome appears to have had a light coat of oil put on it before storage, so it is near perfect. The crankset is 151. So enough and here are the photos. It is not for sale.
