Major intellectual breakthrough with my 16 year old son. He finally understands what I have been telling time about thinking base-10 versus thinking base-2 (digital), or base-8 (octal), or base 16 (hex). Base-10 is for mouth breathers that add with their fingers. The other systems are more efficient. He now gets it.
