Snakebite generally indicates that the tube was pinched between the rims and a hard surface (likely the edge of the curb that you mention). The odd thing being, if there was 120 lbs. of air in your tire this shouldn't happen unless you nailed it really hard, which leads back to ThermionicScott's line of questioning regarding a slow leak. Could it be possible that the tire was slowly losing pressure?
