I've got one on my mtb commuter rig. Like any bottle dynamo, setup is critical to reduce drag and extend the life of the dynamo. Over a 4 year period, mine has developed some slop in the bearings, and the ridged wheel has popped off once, but I'd chalk that up more to it slipping out of adjustment and my not correcting it in time.
