Even the World Sport - which was the bottom of the line, had aluminum rims. Both in 84 and 85. Only the rear hub was steel. The OP can check it out for himself, but if the wheels are original, the rims will be alums.
On the spec sheet it was the last one listed sure, but below the World Sport was the World,
World Tourist, and Collegiate. The World Tourist (bike in the OP) originally came with steel wheels.
