These prices fascinate me, they really do.

I had a long conversation with a local collector over coffee last weekend.

He purchased a fairly rare De Rosa from me last summer, and when I dropped it off, he showed me part of his collection.

It looked like the hidden warehouse from the Indiana Jones movies.

He had four C-Record gruppos in original packaging.

None were for sale, and judging by his home's location, money wasn't much of an issue.

He literally had three large shelving units in his basement with Campy gruppos in their original boxes.

I jokingly referred to a condition called OCD.

He got a pretty good laugh out of that, but his daughter didn't find the humor!

Then I posed a simple question about the future for these goodies, and he stated that he was just biding his time for the correct market conditions.

So, they aren't all necessarily off to the Pacific basin folks.
