On the bike traner for 25 mile of going nowhere! Not a lot of zip today what with the 20 miler on the tread mill yesrterday. I did notice the HR was low for most of the same workout as I usualy do changing gears every 10 minutes. The avg speed was up and I used the exact same tension setting...so can't figure out the lower HR. The last 5 miles I upped the effort abd started doing 1/4 mile sprints every other quarter. Don't forget to rest a day or two occasionally.
Also, HR does not react the same all the time to a given level of work. A lot of things can influence it from day to day: ambient temps, dehydration, rotation of the earth, what color jersey you wear, who won the Super Bowl, etc. (Just kidding about those last ones

). Some days we are just stronger than others. It's a good reason to get a Power Meter, my friend.
When the weather clears up we should get together for a ride. I was over in your area Jan. 9th and I like riding over there occasionally.
