Pretty sure there have been aluminum crank bolts, not sure anyone is selling them anymore because the weight weenies have moved on to lighter cranks than any square taper crank. You can get aluminum bolts for just about everything though, not too hard to find on ebay. I'm pretty sure I have some ti crank bolts.
