I don't believe in padded shorts. I wear them because they're pretty much all you can get. Padding is not your friend. It's a misguided attempt. When shorts had real chamois in them, it was for absorption, not padding.

My perennial perineal problem is that the pain comes the day after the ride, so it's not easy to fine tune things.
