tergal's right Neil, they're not reflective. Just some pointless collection of white dots on the end of the bag. Covering them with reflective tape sounds like a great idea so I might do that when I get some lights on the thing so I can get about at night.

As for tyres I've been looking at trying some Schwalbe Marathon Plus for when these wear out. I like the fact that the tyre is 110kg load rated and can run 50~85PSI
