the early 9spd stuff used the same cable pull ratio as 8spd. the only change from 8 to early 9spd derailleurs was the jockey wheel thickness. after 10spd was out (2001) campy revised the 9spd shifters to use the same derailleurs as 10spd. the only difference between late 9 and 10spd rear derailleurs is jockey wheel thickness.
if my memory serves me correctly, the daytona RD mapleleafs had listed was in fact old 9spd and will work very well with your shifters. the front shifter should also work reasonably well with your shimano parts. there is really nothing keeping you from swapping the ibis over to campy right now. you could then sell the shimano shifters and rear derailleur to fund the appropriate campy FD and crankset.
getting the remaining campy parts will be fairly simply. 8 and 9spd front derailleurs are the same and the only thing different about 10spd is the removable plastic wear plate that made the cage narrower. take this out and it will be 9spd. QS front derailleurs are slightly different but ive mixed them with no issues. you should also be able to run 8/9spd cranksets or 10spd cranksets. the only difference here is the outer ring. an 8/9 big ring would be best but a 10spd one will work. ive use one with 8spd. i found it a little touchy to set up but after i got it dialed in it functioned fine.
