You are only being "Devils Advocate" if you speak to the point under discussion from a different point of view. You are not. Read the thread again. From the beginning. What you think the discussion is about, is not what the discussion is about.
A bike shop that buys X quantities of part Y in the USA will pay far more than a bike shop that buys X quantity of bike part Y. And I will take this a step further, for most items, American bike shops buys X quantity of part Y for less than Canadian bike shops can buy X quantity of part Y. This has *nothing* to do with volume, and everything to do with the politics of distribution systems.
