I dont know about welding it. Aluminum is heat treated after its welded, if you weld on it you will lose the heat treatment. look at getting a rivet on cable guide. any frame builder supply house should have them. Iwould file both of the welded ones off and rivet on the new ones, so they match. shouldnt be a big deal.
