Windproof front and light/stretchy back. If it's getting close to 50F though, I don't really want windproof clothing. It becomes to warm. That's just a personal preference though.
I think that's the kind I have. If it's going to be warmer or get warmer, I'll wear leg warmers with shorts. If it's going to be cold all day, I'll wear the tights. I've used them down to 30 degrees or so, and they were fine, but of course that varies depending on your individual makeup.
