I know this path pretty well and I would want a good bright light while riding to watch for hazards and on-coming ninja cyclists/joggers/walkers as well as crossing wildlife like raccoons and skunks at night. And it certainly seems this jogger over reacted and probably deserved a good bop in the nose for grabbing your bike and handlebars.

However, is there any chance your lights are blinding? Have you experimented on the path by parking the bike in as upright a position as possible in a darkened area and standing in front of the bike to see how it looks to an oncoming pedestrian. Keep in mind that looking away from the lights while jogging can be disorienting and a bit unfair since now the jogger can not see hazards on the path.

Once I got over my justified self-righteous indignation at being assaulted by the jogger I might be inclined to double check and make sure I'm not instigating such incidents with my light. I might even get a second opinion, like my wife's. Kind of like the "Do these pants make my ass look fat?" question- "Do these lights make me look like a fat ass?"
