Bikes: Specialized S-Works Aerotech E5 with Ultegra

For $1,400 I would do a custom build and buy everything on eBay. You can find a nice frame, Specialized or whatever brand you desire, purchase your components and everything to your taste. I would buy the cassette, chain, and crankset brand new, and maybe the other things used.

If you're not a wrench-type then bring it all in a box to your LBS. You will have a product that is your own creation and you will learn a good amount that will help you in the future. Be sure and get proper size and have at least a basic fit done at completion.

All the best!
