Since you're active in the WI community and work in the industry, I'm sure you know how to remove the rust...that's pretty basic stuff. I can't think of a single person I know who works in the industry that would need to ask that question. You have a friend with 30 bikes...so many that he can give away an early 80s Merckx, you know...since they aren't rare. I'm sure he's removed rust before and can help.
