Lugged Le Tours were built at the Chicago plant beginning in 1979 for a couple of years. Note in the 1979 catalog, "Schwinn's own made-in-Chicago X-tra Lite torch brazed lug frame."

Also, from at least 1986, Le Tours (and Traveler, Passage, Prelude, Madison, Tempo, and Super Sport models) were made in Greenville. I believe there were a couple of years in the early eighties as the Chicago plant was closing and before Greenville production was ramped up when Le Tour production went back to asia briefly.
