I ride for more than just one reason but the main reason is to get into shape and live longer.
That being said as I dabble in new styles and theories in biking I crave more efficiency on my rides.
I went from a MT bike with knobbies to slicks and recently bought a road bike. I was riding into the wind today(10 miles of it

) and thought man I cant wait to ride the road bike in this. Then I got to thinking.
For fitness isn't harder better? I know comfort is a factor but when counting calories should it all matter?
