anyway, i'm starting to mix in errands on the way home, which i think is almost as good as reducing my time.

I got some new, skinnier tires. Traded in my specialized inifinity (with flak jacket) 700x32's for specialized all-condition armadillos 700x25. The old tires were rubbing on my rear brake bridge so I decided to get some smaller tires. The new tires make the bike feel more nimble and faster, even though the speed increase is very small if any.

maryland - you ought to see if joe gardener can change you name instead of creating a new name. You'd hate to lose your "member since blabla" street cred!
