Rode along, waved hi to someone who didn't wave back. That someone turned around, caught up with me, he owns a local shop. We talked and rode for several miles, me mainly in the big ring x 19-21-23. I ended up with a
Strava PR on that stretch, about 16 mph (it's flat and we had a tailwind). I only got Strava in Sept '11 and I've only been out a few times on the bike with it, but the fact that 16 mph (okay, 15.9 mph) was a
PR on a flat road... Racing in a couple weeks is going to be eye opening.
All my jumps have been a bit higher than normal. I think it's due to the extra 20 lbs I weigh, I'm not sure. Instead of 1000-1100 peak (155-160 lbs), I'm hitting 1250-1350 peak (175 lbs), and this is not necessarily trying super hard and with bars that I've decided I don't like (the drops are too high). It's far off my 190 lbs 1550w record, but if I can jump harder than before then that's good. At 1000-1100 I couldn't pass anyone with my jump.
I'm actually sore today. 15 mph kills me. haha.
