To remove a cassette you need-
Chain whip (multiple option for price/comfort)
Lock ring tool (probably a Park FR-5 if you have Shimano/SRAM/SunRace cassette)
Wrench that opens to 1" for the LR tool. (Generic 12" crescent wrench.

A "shorter" crescent wrench may open up enough, but it's a bit lacking in leverage.

To install, you don't need the chainwhip.
