I wish I did a before and after look on my remodernized 70's Super Sport. I kept the frame, headset, brakes, stem, seatpost and clamps, handlebar and kickstand. I powdercoated and respaced the frame. Used UN-56 BB with adaptor, Alivio 48-38-28 crankset and derailers, 8 speed Ultegra bar-ends, generic classic look seat and bar tape, Tektro hoods, MKS pedals with Power Grips, Nashbar brake pads. I hand built a set of wheels using 700c CR-18's, straight guage spokes on Tiagra Hubs and 8 speed SRAM 11-32 cogset, first with 700x35 Panaracer Pasela TG's, then with 700x37 Continental Contacts. It sports silver SKS fenders with an Axiom rear rack secured by P-clamps on the seatstay, and a Delta front rack secured by Tubus mid-blade clamps. Including tool bag, U-lock, lights and pump it comes in at a hefty 35-37 lbs. One of these days I need to take pics to show it off. Best riding bike I have.
