Interesting...1987 Voyageur and World Sport share same frame geometry

Huh. I was perusing a chart from the 1987 Schwinn catalog and realized that the Voyageur and World Sport share very similar frame geometries, actually the World Sport has slightly longer chain stays. The '87 World Sport has double-butted 4130 main tubes with hi-ten stays, not a gas-pipe frame and pretty much the same as earlier LeTours. I have a '87 World Sport down in the basement and noticed that the crankset is a 110/74 BCD without the granny gear. wonder what Schwinn was thinking here. I could turn that into a triple with a chainring and 5 bolts. It might make a nice commuter bike with some upgrades. I would need to use some p-clamps for fenders and a rack in the rear. Hmmm...
