I believe so but I know at least one person successfully using the old shimano brakes with the new shimano levers and since I personally know old shimano brakes will work with Sram levers I made the leap (get it?) that the new ones would too.

I guess the biggest danger would be if the new shimano system required a pull that was a greater distance than the Sram levers would go. You'd be stuck with brakes that wanted to drag or reduced maximum brake force.

Any tried it yet? Or Sram brakes with new Shimano levers?

Ahh, looks like bored117 did. So BR-5700 worked with Red levers?
