Beadblasting leaves a 'pebbled' finish thats a nuisence to remove and I've found that it takes quite a bit of time with a bucket of water, rubber gloves and wet sandpaper to get rid of all traces of the surface anodizing. And its only slightly less boring than watching soap operas or reality shows or news casters on the big screen.

Wish I could recommend a fast way to do it mechanically but its really best done by hand and reserved for those special parts that have high sentimental value.
