This is correct, 120 refers to the rear spacing, so this is the spindle you use for that. It is not the spindle length.

I'm under the impression that the 120 refers to the rear axle width that was meant to match that spindle width. I just assumed that because earlier/pre-CPSC spindles were 113mm that they matched up with the earlier 120mm rear spacing. Sort of made sense to me haha
